TOURING & TOURNAMENTS

The Wombats are a touring club.  Whether you are a first time player, seasoned veteran, or an international. Wombat Tours are a fantastic way to connect with the team and witness firsthand Wombat team spirit, morale, and identity. Wombat tours provide a rare and exciting opportunity for members, coaches, and staff to get to know each other better.

We send a competitive men’s team annually to the “All Saints” tournament in St Cloud, Minnesota. We are always interested in expanding our touring options. Be it 7’s or 15’s, the club is always looking for a new challenge. Our historic past trips have included Edmonton (Alberta), Grand Forks (North Dakota), Wayne (Nebraska) and Las Vegas (Nevada).

With the recent growth of our Women’s club (the Brumbies), regular tours are becoming more frequent. This includes attendance in Truro (Nova Scotia), and many American mid-west tournaments, including St Cloud (Minnesota).

In addition to team tours, individual players have traveled and played with various club sides across the world and Canada. Australia, Scotland, France and Ireland are just a few countries in which Wombats have  established connections. The Wombats have also hosted many players touring from foreign clubs. We have had touring players and coaches from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Fiji join our club.

Wombats have travelled to major rugby events such as the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, France, Australia and England.

Camaraderie is fundamental to our club.
